In the spirit of great music legacies, Gallagher Guitar Co. and the town of Murfreesboro will provide the setting for the inaugural GallagherFest (GallagherFest.com).

The event covers two evenings and one full day of fun, starting with the open jam on Friday night, May 3rd. On Saturday, May 4th, there are four thrilling instrument contests featuring the fiddle, mandolin, banjo, and the ultimate test of guitar prowess - flatpicking! Krutz Instruments is donating a 600 Series violin model V460, with a nice case and a premium bow.Eastman Guitars is donating a F-Style mandolin, their MD315 Mandolin for the Mandolin contest. Tone provides their cutting-edge Mastertone banjo, the OB-3EF, as a coveted prize for the banjo contest. And that's not all - Gallagher Guitar Co. is generously gifting a Gallagher G-50 to the victor of the Flatpicking Contest! Cash prizes await 2nd and 3rd place finishers. Think you have what it takes? Submit your entry now to join the competition.

In addition to the contests, various artists will be taking the stage during the day: Jim Hurst, Chris Jones with Paolo Ercoli, Scott Heuston and Erica Flom, Asher Cataldo and Bryce Reeg, Kristen Ford, David DeVaul, Jesse Black, and the Uncle Shuffelo and His Haint Hollow Hootenanny

The day culminates with an evening concert by the world renown Dan Tyminski Band with Josh Rinkel and Laura Orshaw of the Po’ Ramblin’ Boys as the opener. Tickets for the evening show are available at GallagherFest.com
