Individuals or teams of up to four members are invited to create a restyled outfit from at least four clothing items, plus their own decorative materials. The outfits will be created by the competitors prior to the night of the event and will then be displayed on mannequins during Project ReStyle 2.0. Event attendees will cast votes for their favorite designs. “We will have prizes in several categories, including most creative, best interview outfit, and people’s choice favorite,” Powers said. “And local fashion professionals will vote to determine the Grand Prize design.” In addition to evaluating the design competition outfits, attendees will engage with area fashion experts, including professional stylist Lexi Hawkins, at exciting styling stations to explore the latest accessorizing tips.
The event will also include a silent auction, door prizes, hors d’oeuvres and signature mocktail by Tasty Table, and an expanded version of the popular Amelia’s Closet Pop-Up Boutique for attendees to shop for beautiful fashion bargains.
