Butterfly Lover's Concerto with the MTSU Symphony Orchestra

Butterfly Lovers' Concerto with the MTSU Symphony Orchestra is a rare opportunity to see the Chinese erhu performed with a western symphonic orchestra. This erhu concerto is one of the most famous Chinese orchestra. Adapted from an ancient legend of two tragic lovers, Butterfly Lover's Concerto was written by He Zhanhao (何占豪) and Chen Gang (陈钢) and first performed in 1959. This melodic work contains melodies from Chinese Opera and traditional Chinese tunes. Join us for a night of magic with the symphony, February 23rd at 8:00 pm at Hinton Hall, MTSU.
