What began as a farming community settled in the 1790s has become a warm and welcoming center for shopping, entertainment and family fun.
Eagleville’s roots lie in agriculture, which gave rise to local businesses. Those businesses, in turn, became centers of the community, providing social interaction and entertainment as well as the necessities of life.
Much of today’s life in Eagleville reflects that history, with agriculture and small, local businesses at the center of the community.
Eagleville for Families
Looking for a weekend break from the back-to-school routine? Eagleville has plenty for families to do, beginning with a lot of fun on the farm.

The flagship of family fun here is Lucky Ladd Farms, where kids of all ages can enjoy authentic farm experiences. Lucky Ladd has been voted the “favorite place to take kids” in Nashville and Murfreesboro. Start off with a pony ride and move on to meet even more charming animals at the largest petting farm in Tennessee—you can even milk a cow.
Watch the kids take on the climbing wall, web crawl and rope maze. Enjoy the rides and the thrilling mega slide. After playing so hard, kids will love to cool off in the splash pad and have a tasty ice cream.
While you’re there, try your hand at gem mining, explore the exhibits and games along the cedar glade trail or get lost in the corn maze. Finally, shop at the farm market or take home fresh produce and flowers from their pick-your-own fields.
While you’re exploring agritourism, pick out your locally grown veggies and pick them up at Rocky Glade Farm. The family-run farm supplies grass-fed beef and locally grown produce to some of Rutherford County’s and Nashville’s finest eateries.
For a different kind of adventure, take the family fishing at Blue Water Catfish Farm. You can spend a laid-back afternoon of fun, fishing and relaxation at this catch-and-release pay lake. Grab a snack from the concession stand, take a break at a picnic table or even watch the big game on television in their shady pavilion. Spend some time at the little kids’ pond, or just hang out and enjoy the view. You can check the Blue Water Catfish Farm Facebook page for events, tournaments and updates.
If Mexican food is on your mind, visit this 20-year local favorite, Las Fiestas. While you’re filling up on the tasty traditional food, including several vegetarian options, be sure to leave room for dessert: chango cheesecake, churros, sopapilla and more.
Grown-Up Getaways

Looking for a couple’s escape or a girlfriend weekend? Eagleville has you covered with shopping, retro charm and local color.
The roots of today’s Eagleville shopping and dining community began with Eagleville Produce Company, founded in 1933 by brothers Frank and Joe Crosslin. From the present location of Crosslin Supply Co., they added a restaurant and three rolling stores. These “peddling wagons” traveled the country roads selling coffee, sugar, fruit, and other items in exchange for cash, chickens, eggs, and other local produce.
Like many other general stores of the early 20th Century, the Crosslins held drawings for cash or groceries. The nights of Frank and Mary Esther Crosslin's prize drawings became occasions for neighbors to linger, chat and socialize. From those beginnings, the community grew, with businesses as the catalyst for growth and interaction.
In today’s Eagleville, you might find some of that spirit reflected in businesses like Eagleville Grocery, a South Main Street staple. The grocery will tempt your taste buds with its large hot bar selection. Have a seat and enjoy their Southern favorites like catfish, hush puppies, fried pork chops and a wide assortment of vegetables. You’ll find the daily lunch menu and specials on Facebook and Instagram. While you’re there, shop for the groceries and smoked meats to take home for later. You’ll find high-quality and hard-to-find types of meat from TN Meat Co. at their satellite location inside Eagleville Grocery.
Vintage charm is the superpower of Revive Us Again. Spend the day exploring the gift baskets, linens, antiques, art and great things to wear. Check the Revive Us Again Facebook page for a look at all the good stuff, and even some classes or special events.

You’ll discover refurbished antiques, work by local artists and artisans, and even snacks, at Eagleville Mercantile & Restoration, also right on South Main Street. Check out their updates and items on Instagram or Facebook.

Just down the street, you’ll find All Things Home, a perfect spot to browse for home decor, clothing, jewelry, shoes (check out the boot selection) and more. Stay current on special events, sales and vendor pop-up shops by visiting their Facebook page.
If you’re looking for chic seasonal clothing, jewelry, and personalized items, you’ll love Aisling Boutique, on North Main. Join the “girl gang” at Aisling and get your back-to-school or game day gear. Facebook and Instagram will keep you updated on sales and special events.
You’ll need to keep your energy up for all this shopping, so plan to hit some of these local eateries for great food and live music. You can start your day with a great cup of coffee and breakfast with the Campbell family at Grindstone Cowboy, on North Main, as early as 6 a.m. Treat yourself to a smoothie or an “Outlaw Latte” with extras like honey, lavender or chocolate, and take home some stylish merch to remember your visit.
The food is so good you’ll want to come back for lunch, then enjoy live music, trivia, comedy or other entertainment at night. Owners Craig and Mindy Campbell are both country singers—Craig has had eight singles on the country charts—and they make sure an exciting parade of entertainers hit their stage. If you’re planning a larger gathering of friends or family, you can reserve their event venue. Keep track of events on Facebook and Instagram.

If your tastes run to Italian, you’ll find Jodi and Kyah cooking up favorite family recipes at Sorelles Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria on North Main. Come for dinner, stay for the live music, and take home a family dinner for tomorrow. Their Family Meal menu has a variety of favorites to feed the whole gang, complete with salad and garlic bread. Keep track of daily specials and weekly live music from Rick Armentrout’s Unforgettables on Facebook and Instagram.
For a memorable experience, take to the sky with the Eagleville Soaring Club, located at the Puckett Airport. Fly high with a thrilling sailplane ride, guaranteed to make you feel free as a bird.
Today, you can be part of the modern equivalent of the Crosslins’ general store social event—and work in a visit to all of these local spots at the First Friday celebrations in Eagleville. This year’s final First Friday event is set for September 1. Get in on the fun, with food trucks, vendors, live music, pop-up shops and special events and sales in area shops and restaurants.
