Confederate spy Mary Kate Patterson (1838-1931) lived in this house in LaVergne from the mid-1880s to the early 1920s. She is thought to be the first woman buried in the Confederate Circle in Nashville’s Mt. Olivet Cemetery. She is part of the Leading Ladies of Rutherford County History trail. This house is not open to the public.
